Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Trámite CR (tramitecr.com) and its partner Wheels Down Concierge handle the personal data you give us, under Costa Rica's Law 8968 on the Protection of Persons Regarding the Processing of their Personal Data (Ley N.° 8968) and its regulations.

1. Who is responsible

Database controller: Wheels Down Concierge, operating together with Trámite CR. Privacy contact: [email protected].

2. What we collect

• "Request help" form: name, email, WhatsApp/phone (optional), the service you're interested in, your plate's last digit (optional) and your message.
• Reminders: your plate's last digit, email and/or WhatsApp, and the date you consented.
• Technical and usage data: if analytics is switched on, Google Analytics collects browsing data (pages viewed, device type, approximate location) using cookies.

We don't ask for sensitive data. Please don't enter ID numbers, passwords or card details in the forms.

3. Why we use it

• To respond to your service requests and quotes.
• To send the marchamo and vehicle-inspection (Dekra) reminders you asked for.
• To measure overall site usage so we can improve it (only if analytics is switched on).

We process your data based on your informed consent, which you give by ticking the box on each form. You can withdraw it at any time.

4. Who we share it with

• Wheels Down Concierge, to deliver the services you request.
• Web3Forms (data processor), which receives form submissions and forwards them by email. Its servers may be outside Costa Rica.
• Cloudflare (site hosting) and Google (Google Analytics), which may process technical data such as your IP address.

We do not sell or rent your data and do not use it for third-party advertising.

5. Cookies and analytics

The site may use Google Analytics cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*) to count visits in aggregate. We don't use advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings or with Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.

6. How long we keep it

Service requests are kept for as long as we're working with you and up to 2 years after the last contact. Reminder data is kept until you unsubscribe. It is then deleted.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and delete your data, and to withdraw your consent. Email [email protected] saying what you'd like; we'll respond within the time limits set by Law 8968. If you feel your request wasn't handled properly, you can contact Costa Rica's data protection agency (PRODHAB).

8. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) and providers with reasonable security measures. No system is 100% secure.

9. Children

The site is intended for adults who own or are responsible for vehicles.

If we change this policy we'll post the new version here with its date. See also the Terms & Disclaimer.
