1. Information and estimates only

Trámite CR's guides, tables and calculators are informational. Results are unofficial estimates: they are not official figures from Costa Rica's Ministry of Finance (Hacienda), INS, COSEVI or Dekra. The marchamo estimator uses Hacienda's 2026 brackets until the 2027 values are published. Actual amounts may differ.

2. Not legal advice

Nothing on this site is legal, tax or customs advice. For your specific situation, consult a professional or the relevant institution.

3. Not a government agency

Trámite CR and Wheels Down Concierge are private businesses. They are not government agencies and are not affiliated with or authorised by Hacienda, INS, COSEVI, MOPT, Dekra or ARESEP.

4. Verify on official sites

Before you pay or decide anything, check amounts, dates and requirements at the official source:

5. Wheels Down Concierge services

Paid services (marchamo, Dekra, import paperwork and others) are provided by Wheels Down Concierge under the quote and terms you agree with them directly. Government fees are paid separately from the service fee.

The site is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, Trámite CR is not liable for decisions made based on the estimates, for errors or omissions, or for changes to official fees.

9. Data licence

The data we publish (figures, tables and the files /data/marchamo.json and /data/dekra.json) is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0): you may copy, adapt and reuse it, including commercially, with attribution to "Trámite CR (tramitecr.com)", a link to the source page and an indication of any changes. The underlying figures are official public data (Hacienda, INS, Sugese, MOPT/COSEVI, ARESEP, Dekra); the licence covers our compilation, calculations and presentation of that data, grants no rights over the official sources and does not make the figures official. Page text, design, branding and calculator code are not covered by this licence: all rights reserved.
